Yes to cucumbers and aloe?!

As a model I have to keep my skin fresh, clean, and clear 24/7. I will be honest and say that I'm not obsessed with skin care products. I have been wanting to try a facial mask and have heard a lot about the 'Yes to' brand, so that is why I recently purchased these two products at Target.

The Que Bella Deep Cleansing Aloe Vera Mask was $1.99.

"Our aim is to take the finest ingredients that nature has to offer and turn them into wonderful body-care products, that are really effective, a delight to use and affordable for everyone as an everyday treat."
For more product information check out Que Bella's website.

*Note* Que Bella products are only offered at some Target stores in the US and on Target's website. If you are in Canada you can purchase these products at Jean Coutu.

Verdict: This was my first time trying a facial mask and I will say it felt weird but I'm sure all facial masks do. After 15 min I washed it off and my skin felt a lot softer. This product didn't break out my face which I was very glad about. In the end I don't think it really did much. You get enough product for 2 applications.

The Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes were $2.99. I bought the travel size package which contains 10 towelettes for I could try them before purchasing the full size container which is $5.99 for 30 towelettes.

According to the product description...
"The Yes To Cucumbers On-The-Go Facial Towelettes are 98% all-natural, hypoallergenic, and made with soothing ingredients like cucumbers, green tea, and aloe."
These towelettes also won Allure's Best of Beauty: Natural Wonders 2011 award.

Verdict: After using this product for several nights I can say that I don't like these. The towelettes are not very moist and they don't remove all of your makeup. When I woke up the next morning my face was extra oily. I will go back to using my normal method of washing my face at night...washcloth and warm water.

Don't buy this nail product

I'm sure you've all heard of Sally Hansen's Salon Effects nail polish strips. I fell in love with them when they hit stores. However, I did not want to spend $8 on this product. I bought Metal Head on clearance at Walmart for $3 and Teal With It on clearance at Target for $4.50.

Last week I finally decided to try them out. Bad idea! This product is awful!! It took over an hour to do both my hands. The whole time I was thinking "I could have already had my nails painted by now". It was hard to match up to my nails. Each nail ended up having a ripply at the end which ended up chipping off a few days later. I will say that the Metal Head color is really pretty.

I removed the strips yesterday and it was tougher to do than real nail polish. When I finally got the strips off there was a sticky residue still on my nails.

I will not by repurchasing this product on clearance and definitely not full price. In fact I think I'm going to sell the unopened package of Teal With It at my next yard sale.

June issue of 417 Magazine

We were running a little late in leaving for our trip last week. We were actually late enough that our mail had arrived. In our mail was June's issue of 417 Magazine. Guess who is on page 49 ;)

Where have I been?

Some of you may have been wondering where I have been for the past week. Well the answer is...Tupelo and Memphis.
I was in Tupelo for the annual Tupelo Elvis Fest.
David Lee won 1st place. Tyler Hunter won 3rd place. UETA Cody Slaughter
Then we went to Memphis for a few days. I love shopping at the boutique Crazy Beautiful. After shopping we ate at one of my favorite restaurants, Beauty Shop. Priscilla got her hair done here when it was Atkins Salon.
Crazy Beautiful Boutique.  Beauty Shop Restaurant. Booth where she got her hair done
Of course we had to visit Graceland...again! Every time I visit I always bring Elvis a gift to place on his grave.

Our last full day in Memphis we visted some historical Elvis places. We went to many more places than this but these were my top 3...
Elvis's original crypt. Elvis's first billed concert in 1954. Lorraine Motel where MLK was killed.
