Love, Beauty, and Planet products

I received a box of Love Beauty Planet and hair care products from Crowdtap to test and review. This is a new brand that is cruetly free, vegan, and use recycled plastic in packaging. Let's just say this is my new favorite hair care brand.

Murumuru Butter & Rose Shampoo and Conditioner are both amazing! I have recently been struggling with oily hair that felt heavy. As soon as I used this shampoo and conditioner those issues went away and my hair feels amazing. I can go 3 days without needing to wash my hair again. The scent is very nice also. This particular shampoo and conditioner is for colored hair to preserve the color.

Smooth and Serene Leave-in Conditioner- The lavender smell is so nice. This product works well to control frizz and makes your hair silky smooth.

Volume and Bounty Dry Shampoo- I have tried a lot of dry shampoos and haven't found one I absolutely loved....until this one! It actually absorbs oil and can give me and extra day or two before needing to wash my hair. The packaging is very nice and sturdy. The grapefruit smell is not overwhelming. It does not give a white-cast to my black hair.

January 2018 Empties

First empties of the new year! I plan to use up/declutter even more products than I did last year. Speaking of decluttering, this year I am going to keep them separate from my monthly empties posts. I will do a post of them each quarter or whenever I have enough gathered together.

January 2018 empties

Jordana pressed powder- I bought this powder when my last local Kmart was closing and it was only $1. It was very well worth the $1. This powder lasted me 4-5 months. It was better than expected. My skin didn't look cakey, stayed matte for a decent amount of time, and most importantly this powder gave me a bit of coverage. I love the Jordana brand and might repurchase once I use up more stock of face powders

NYX Concealer in a Jar- One of my favorite concealers to use on spots on my face. It is also good to use under eyes later in the day to refresh before going out. I will continue to repurchase once I use up some more concealers.

W3ll People Expressionist Mascara- I appreciate that this brand is natural and organic. I received this mascara in a Target beauty box last year. It wasn't the best but still usable. It did a good job of separating and providing a bit of length but didn't provide volume. I only got to use this for 2 weeks because I dropped the wand in my sink....ew.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara- A pretty nice mascara. It does give lashes a curled and lifted look. It doesn't give as much volume as I normally would like but it is good for everyday. I love the packaging. I got this in a set but I would not purchase for $24. Plus, it is also not cruelty free.

Wet n Wild Illumi-Naughty Highlighting and Concealing Pen- As with most click-up pens this concealer was used up quickly. At first I used it by itself and it worked okay. I then layered it over a concealer and it worked great. I might repurchase.

Jordana Fabuliner Eyeliner- My holy grail eyeliner. I will continue to purchase again and again. This makes it super easy to do a wing.

ELF Double Ended Eyeliner Shadow Stick- I neglected this product for a long time. I flew through the eyeliner side using it as an eyebrow pencil. The cream shadow side was so pretty and I loved using it for brown looks. I will repurchase after I use some of my cream shadows.

Urban Decay Razor Sharp Liquid Liner- The formula of product is great but the brush is terrible. I'm not sure if the brush is the same on the full size.

Almay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Removing Wipes- I enjoy these to remove my eye makeup. I have 2 containers left in my backups. I really wish Almay was cruelty free.

Sephora Avocado Sleeping Mask- I used this every night after I removed my makeup. It lasted over a week so that is a great value for $6. This avocado is the nourishing version and I feel it did do that.

Tarte Maracuja Oil- I loved this oil when I first bought it but then I forgot about it. When I started using it again I realized I didn't like it after all. It broke me out when I used it on my face. It didn't work that great on the ends of my hair. I ended up finishing this bottle on my body after the shower. I won't be repurchasing especially since I have a big bottle still to finish.

Egyptian Magic- Ew just ewwww!! I thought this was going to be a cream lotion consistency. No I was wrong. This is actually a thick paste of olive oil, beeswax, and honey. You have to warm it up in your hands to apply. You might as well just take olive oil and apply it straight to your skin.

Nubian Abyssinian Chia Seed Lotion- This is the second sample of this lotion I have used. I love the scent and how well this lotion sinks into my skin.
