February 2018 empties

This month I am going to keep it short and simple with my reviews

February 2018 empties

Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush- A great cream blush in a flattering color. This item is discontinued and it took forever to to use up but I enjoyed it.

Benefit Porefessional- My favorite primer I have tried. It really does minimize the look of pores and makes foundation go on smooth. I have a full size and several more mini sizes to go through

Manic Panic Dreamtone Foundation- A fantastic white foundation for lightening foundations. It is only $6.50 and lasts quite a while. It is also cruelty free and vegan so double wins.

Wet n Wild Illumi-Naughty Highlighting and Concealing Pen- This was used up quick just like the one last month. I really like using this over a concealer to brighten my under eyes.

Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation- Overall I was not a fan. Coverage was just okay, I wore it just to run unimportant errands. It felt like it just sat on top of my skin and wear time wasn't the best.

Pacifica Kale Detox Face Wash- I was hoping to really enjoy this face wash since it is vegan and cruelty free but it broke my face out

Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum- This is a really expensive. This is the serum that made me realize that I do like using serums. I wouldn't buy the full size though.

Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet- This is a pricey moisturizer. I enjoyed the texture and smell but I think it also broke me out because it was so moisturizing.

Lancome Energie de Vie Smoothing & Plumping Cream- I honestly can't say an opinion on this because I only got two uses out of this foil packet. It seemed nice I guess.

Nyakio Smoothing Eye & Lip Cream- I got about 3 weeks of two times a day use out of this packet. I really really liked this eye and lip cream a lot and will definitely consider purchasing at Ulta. It helped smooth lines under eyes and on my lips.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream- This was okay. It is hard to tell with these little foil packets. I have a travel size tube I will be trying next.

Grand Finale Hair Spray- A great hairspray with intense hold. You get a very large amount for only $6

EOS Shave Cream- This was nice and lasted a really long time but I think you could just save your money and use the conditioner that is already in your shower

Caress Love Forever Body Wash- I had received a sample bottle of this and I really enjoyed it so I purchased a full size. I like it at first then it started making my skin itchy and dry. I am pretty sure the strong fragrance is to blame

Garnier Micellar Water- This is great to use after you remove your makeup to really make sure all your makeup is off before you do your skincare routine. It is also great for in the mornings when you don't have time to wash your face before applying makeup.

Tarte Maracuja Oil- I am so glad this is finished. This broke my face out months ago so I have not been wanting to use it. Instead, I finished it up by using it on my body. My skin became extra dry and itchy so overall I do not like this oil.

February, March, & April 2017 empties

Long time no see!
I was away traveling for most of February and March so I mainly used the same products over and over again until they were gone. April just flew by but I was home more so I was able to finish off quite a few products.

So many products!

Covergirl Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation- I've raved about this previously. It is still my favorite drugstore foundation. Full coverage, lasts all day, etc
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Coverage Foundation- A really good foundation but not my absolute favorite. It has a mousse/cream feel and the shade range is excellent. It wears really well throughout the day. I'd say it is a high medium coverage though.
Tarte Maracuja C Brighter Eye Treatment- It is a great moisturizer for under eyes but I don't think it lives up to the claims. Luckily this was a sample size because I don't think it is worth $38
Bare Minerals Blemish Remedy Mattifying Prep Gel- I wasn't a fan of this primer. Unlike the name blemish remedy, I'm pretty sure it broke me out. I'm glad it was a tiny size sample.
Too Faced Lip Insurance Lip Primer- I've talked about this before. I love it and it works great but I wish it wasn't as pricey.
Sephora Outrageous Volume Mascara- I'm not really sure what to think about this mascara. It was a very wet formula but it did provide a lot of volume for my lashes.

Lulu hair color remover wipe- These were on clearance at Ulta (maybe being discontinued) so I grabbed several because every time I get my hair dyed black there's always a few little places that need to be wiped away, This is basically a wet wipe with maybe acetone as the liquid. It worked okay, lots of scrubbing is needed.
Marlowe Body Butter- As the name suggests this is definitely a body butter, aka a very heavy and thick lotion. I enjoyed this sample and feel it did work pretty well. I would recommend if you are looking for a body butter.
Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash- I couldn't stand the smell of this at all! I was so happy it was gone.
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser- I picked this up when I was in Vegas since it works for face and body. It worked well. There's a ton of product in the bottle so I took it with me for my New Orleans trip as well.
Belief the True Cream Moisturizing Bomb- I needed a heavy moisturizer to use after I used an intense mask that sucked the life out of my face....this was absolutely perfect. I love this stuff. I think it is a little too heavy for summer but will be perfect in the winter. I'm not sure if I'd buy the full size for $38 though.
Josie Maran Pure Argan Oil- This foil packet was pretty messy but this argan oil was nice to use because my face was drier than usual.
OLEHENRIKSEN Truth Serum- I could only could two-three uses out of this and that's not enough to tell if this really made a difference. I did enjoy the smell.

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes- I have talked about these a lot and they work great for traveling.
Almay Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover Pads- I have also talked about these a lot and I use them every single day.
Avon Eye Makeup Remover Lotion- I have had this a long time and it also took a long time to use up. It works okay. I won't be repurchasing.
Up & Up Maximum Strength Acne Medication- I wasn't aware that there was an expiration date and it was a couple months expired so it didn't work all that great. I will repurchase to try again.

Up & UP Pomegranate Hand Restore Dish Soap- I have talked about this soap previously but it works great to clean my brushes weekly.
Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser- I really enjoyed using this charcoal cleanser. When I was traveling I even pumped some into a small squeeze bottle. I recommend if you have acne and I have already repurchased.
Jason Sheer Spray Lotion- I like spray lotions because I enjoy the feeling of rubbing in "normal" lotion with my hands. This spray lotion is really good on my legs. The cocoa butter smell was really nice.
Secret Outlast Xtend Completely Clean Invisible Solid- I enjoyed it was a travel size but I don't think it worked too well. I also didn't like the white residue left behind.
Secret Outlast Xtend Unscented Clear Gel- I much prefer the gel formula deodorant because it works better all day and stays clear.

Christmas 2012

I got a lot of makeup goodies this holiday season! I haven't used everything enough to give a full review but on some things I can give a first impression.

Drugstore:

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Silver Strike
I'm a big fan of the other Color Tattoo so I really wanted this new shade which I love!

NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny
Surprisingly a very nice bronzer. This is the first NYC product I've actually liked. I do have to say that this color is a little to dark for my pale skin but its manageable.

Eye Delights Instant Eyeliner Strips
I have not tried these yet! I wanted to buy the Dior kind when they came out but they were too expensive. I about bought the Sephora brand but decided not too because they didn't look like they would fit my eyes. Can't wait to try these!

Sephora:

Tarte Clean Slate Deluxe Primer Trio
Tarte - Clean Slate™ Deluxe Primer Trio
  • Clean Slate Poreless 12-hr Perfecting Primer (Purple tube): I've only used this primer once and liked but will have to try a couple more times to give a full review.
  • Clean Slate Flawless 12-hr Brightening Primer (Brown tube): Out of the 2 face primers this was he first one I've used and I my face broke out the next day. Not sure exactly if it was the culprit but I will try again just to be sure. Besides the possible breaking out factor, I didn't feel it made any difference in the appearance of my foundation.
  • Clean Slate 360 Degree Creaseless 12-hr Smoothing Eye Primer: Pretty nice eyeshadow primer. It did its job but I didn't notice anything special.

Kat Von D Lock-IT Tattoo Foundation
Kat Von D - Lock-It Tattoo FoundationI heard mix reviews about this foundation so I went to Sephora and got a sample. The first time I used it I thought it was too thick and hard to blend. After a couple more uses I got the hang of it and ended up liking it enough to ask for a full size bottle for Christmas. This foundation is definitely full coverage!

 Too Faced Beauty Editor Darlings
  • Lashgasm Mascara- This is my 3rd mini size tube of this mascara and I love to use it on my lower lash line because the brush is so small. Surprisingly this small tube last longer than you'd think.
  • Shadow Insurance Eye Shadow Primer- Great primer but just like the Tarte eyeshadow primer it does it's job but nothing special
  • Glamour Gloss-Great pink color and leaves a tingly feel on the lips
  • Lip Insurance Lip Primer- Probably my favorite product in this kit! I got a Sephora giftcard as well for Christmas and so I bought the full size of the lip primer.
  • Primed and Poreless Face Primer- I actually really like this primer! I'm considering buying it in a full size but still need to try a few more times first.

Too Face Lip Insurance Primer
This primer works great for a red lip! I have to say that it does feel weird once you apply it and it dries but it is totally worth it! Definitely check this product out!

Benefit The Big 10
I haven't experimented much with this kit but so far I really like the Bella Bamba blush. I will do a full review soon.
