I received this Covergirl Super Sizer Fibers mascara from Influenster. I immediately tried it out as I love mascara.
Product claims"Discover 400% more volume and get the look of long, dark, amplified lashes with Super Sizer Fibers Mascara. Our specialized formula contains built-in fibers for the ultimate false-lash extension effect." Pros: The brush is made in a way that really separates your lashes....yay for no clumping!! The formula lasts all day and doesn't smear or flake. Cons: I didn't notice as much volume as I can get with my holy grail mascara (Jordana best lash extreme). I also didn't notice a fiber effect....the formula seems just like an ordinary mascara.
Conclusion: I do like this mascara but I'm not sure if I will purchase another tube. It is great for an everyday "errand running" look.
I was so excited when I received the email from Influenster saying that I was selected for the Bloom Vox Box. A week later I received the box complimentary to test and review the 6 products. All opinions are my own.
As you can see there is a nice variety of products included in this box....
6 products in the Bloom Vox Box
Sunbelt Bakery Oats & Honey Granola Bar
This was good but not the best. It tasted freshly made but was a little on the plain side. It would be great for on-the-go.
Secret Outlast Xtend Deodorant
Secret always has great deodorants. This one being part of their outlast line, didn't disappoint because it does last all day.
Cutex Nail Polish Remover Pads
Love these!! They remove polish with very little effort. I did test these with the hardest off all glitter polish and they were just okay... either way you need straight acetone to remove that particular polish. I will be buying a full size of these because they will be great for traveling.
Sinful Colors nail polish is shade
This is one of those shades where you have to layer over a opaque polish because just by itself it is clear with blue glitter. I have to say it was clumpy. I tried to do as thin of a layer as possible but it still looked like a mess. I will try it again to try to make it work.
My favorite product in the box! It really helped my dry hands and on my hair it made it less frizzy. I'm a little scared to try on the face in case it might break me out.
Not Your Mothers Plump For Joy Thickening Hair Lifter
I am very hair-styling challenged but I'm working to change that. I noticed this product worked best applying to wet hair then blow drying. It did give some lift and volume for a few hours.
Wow it has been a lonnnng time since I've blogged. 3 years ago on January 24, 2013 as a matter of fact. Sooo much has happened since then.... high school and college graduation, new niece and nephew, advancement in my modeling career, wasted too much time on douchebag guys, started a new business, and the list goes on! I'm so excited to be back to blogging. At the new year I made a few goals for myself and this was high up on my to-do list. I can't wait to hit the ground running with this blog. I plan to post....
Modeling work- photo shoots and fashion shows
Makeup reviews - I love trying new produts because lets face it I have a makeup addiction ;)
Product reviews - The first one is going to be pretty awesome!!
Travel adventures - I hopped on a plane for the first time in 2015 to go to California so we will see where 2016 takes me
Misc life shenanigans - My life is crazy. I will repeat, crazy.
Sarah Vega, The
Audrey Hepburn of Springfield Missouri, may or may not be as such to
some of you, but she sure is that way to us. At least in the way she can
carry herself when showing of her vintage look from the 1950′s. This
elegance and poise she seems to have is brought out in an elegant force
by photographer Marshall Meadows of Meadows Images.
Sarah has only been modelling since 2009 and as an aspiring model she
is already starting to rack up the credits. Those credits include
numerable fashion shows, photo shoots, print magazines, and even a
television appearance on Paul Fisher’s show called Remodeled on the CW
Sarah was clearly born in the wrong era and thank God. We need
someone to brighten up this era and keep the vintage style of the 1950s
alive and vibrant. Her love of Burlesque, Cheesecake, Classic Hollywood,
Glamor, High Fashion, and Rockabilly genres was sparked when she met an
Elvis impersonator, Dean Z, and his Pin Up model wife. The rest we
shall say is history, but early history as we believe this young Pin Up
is only a senior in high school believe it or not.
We definitely need to get an interview and see if the “Audrey Hepburn
of Springfield” can cook. Perhaps a 1950s recipe dressed in the style
for our series “Cooking With A Pin Up.” For now I think the Black Kat Boppers’ “Hey Young Girl” is a fitting song to view the photos with.
xoxo Sarah Vega
As always please check out my links:
A few days ago a friend of mine texted me the photo of the ad asking, "When did you start modeling for Cadillac?" I replied, "Well in 1954 of course." I then sent the photo to my photographer who also thought the lady looked exactly like me. He went through my archive of photos and found the "comparison" photo, which was taken back in September.
I think it is really neat how much I look like her!
I got a lot of makeup goodies this holiday season! I haven't used everything enough to give a full review but on some things I can give a first impression.
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Silver Strike
I'm a big fan of the other Color Tattoo so I really wanted this new shade which I love!
NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny Surprisingly a very nice bronzer. This is the first NYC product I've actually liked. I do have to say that this color is a little to dark for my pale skin but its manageable.
Eye Delights Instant Eyeliner Strips I have not tried these yet! I wanted to buy the Dior kind when they came out but they were too expensive. I about bought the Sephora brand but decided not too because they didn't look like they would fit my eyes. Can't wait to try these!
Tarte Clean Slate Deluxe Primer Trio
Slate Poreless 12-hr Perfecting Primer (Purple tube): I've only used this primer once and liked but will have to try a couple more times to give a full review.
Clean Slate Flawless 12-hr
Brightening Primer (Brown tube): Out of the 2 face primers this was he first one I've used and I my face broke out the next day. Not sure exactly if it was the culprit but I will try again just to be sure. Besides the possible breaking out factor, I didn't feel it made any difference in the appearance of my foundation.
Clean Slate 360 Degree Creaseless 12-hr Smoothing Eye Primer: Pretty nice eyeshadow primer. It did its job but I didn't notice anything special.
Kat Von D Lock-IT Tattoo Foundation I heard mix reviews about this foundation so I went to Sephora and got a sample. The first time I used it I thought it was too thick and hard to blend. After a couple more uses I got the hang of it and ended up liking it enough to ask for a full size bottle for Christmas. This foundation is definitely full coverage!
Too Faced Beauty Editor Darlings
Lashgasm Mascara- This is my 3rd mini size tube of this mascara and I love to use it on my lower lash line because the brush is so small. Surprisingly this small tube last longer than you'd think.
Shadow Insurance Eye Shadow Primer- Great primer but just like the Tarte eyeshadow primer it does it's job but nothing special
Glamour Gloss-Great pink color and leaves a tingly feel on the lips
Lip Insurance Lip Primer- Probably my favorite product in this kit! I got a Sephora giftcard as well for Christmas and so I bought the full size of the lip primer.
Primed and Poreless Face Primer- I actually really like this primer! I'm considering buying it in a full size but still need to try a few more times first.
Too Face Lip Insurance Primer This primer works great for a red lip! I have to say that it does feel weird once you apply it and it dries but it is totally worth it! Definitely check this product out!
Benefit The Big 10 I haven't experimented much with this kit but so far I really like the Bella Bamba blush. I will do a full review soon.
