December 2017 empties

It was great to finish/declutter all these products in the last month of 2017. Stay tuned for my 2017 total empties post next....I can't believe how many products I used up this year!

December 2017 empties

ELF Long Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow- Very similar texture to Colourpop's Super Shock Shadows. This was a very pretty silver shade with a small amount of glitter. They do dry up a little fast but worth it for only $3

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer - I appreciate that this moisturizer had SPF 20. It worked well as a moisturizer and provided a light amount of coverage. This "nude" shade was just a little orange/dark on me though.

Jordana Fabuliner Liquid Eyeliner- Still my go to favorite liquid eyeliner pen ever. I will continue to repurchase again and again. Did I mention it is also only $3!!

L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation- At first I didn't like this foundation. After finishing it up I actually do like it but I will not repurchase since L'Oreal is not a cruelty free brand. This foundation was great for running errands, going to class, and just normal everyday activities. The shade 302 Creamy Natural is a true neutral.

Benefit Ka Brow- This is a good product but the little sample packing is not easy to use. The built in brush can't reach all the way in the tiny pot of product once you've used it for a while. I know the packaging on the full size product is a lot better. Again, this is a great brow product.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Cream Eyeshadow- These are discontinued. I've already decluttered some and these 3 are the remaining ones I had. I really enjoyed these cream shadows and the great color variety but these were old and really need to be thrown out. I wish a cruelty free brand would come out with a product just like these.

Flower Beauty Shine on Lip Gloss in shade LG9 Zen Zinnia- I really enjoyed this gloss in a great burgundy shade. I bought this when Flower Beauty first came to Walmart and it was separating in the tube so that is a good sign it needs to be tossed.

Butter London Lippy in shade La Moss- A lot like the Flower beauty gloss above, it is a great gloss in a slightly more purple shade but I have had it for quite a while and needs to be tossed.

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray- I know this is a cult favorite setting spray so that's why I was excited to try it. Personally, I haven't noticed much of a difference in the longevity of my makeup. I would like to try another sample of this setting spray in the summer to see if/how it makes a difference. I am learning more about ingredients in beauty products and I'm not a fan of the high alcohol content in this spray.

Nuxe Multi Purpose Dry Oil - First off, this is pricey! I luckily received this complimentary from Influenster. I started off using this oil on my face at night. It broke me out so I switched to using it on the ends of my hair. It had an opposite effect and dried out the ends of my hair. Thirdly I used this on my body after I got out of the shower. I flew through this product doing this. I don't usually have a problem with scents but this floral scent was terrible and that's why I couldn't wait to get it out of my collection.

Clean & Clear Acne Triple Clear Cleanser- I received several of these travel size bottles at an event I worked at over the summer. I actually enjoy this cleanser and think it does help my acne. It is very gentle for everyday use. I wish Clean & Clear was cruelty free.

Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum- I love this serum! I would never pay $79 for the full price but it was nice to try this sample as the Sephora birthday gift in 2017. It feels like it really does sink into my skin but I didn't see a big difference in radiance. This is the first serum I have tried so I can't wait to compare others to this one.

Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet- $39 for a 1.3 oz moisturizer is a little steep in my book but again it was great to try this sample as the Sephora birthday gift in 2017. I love the light sweet scent and fluffy texture. It is a lightweight moisturizer. My mom gave me her sample so I will be sad when that one if finished because I enjoy it so much.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Eye Cream- This .5 oz bottle lasted 1.5 years which really surprised me. I used it every night before bed and almost every morning before I did my makeup. I don't notice any differences in my eye area after using this eye cream. I can't wait to try others, especially that are cruelty free.

Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer - Personally, I really enjoy a spray lotion. Since this is a spray it stays cool and you have to "brace for impact" when you go to spray it one yourself. It is not greasy and sinks into the skin quickly. This is probably my 4th bottle I've finished and still have 1 more.

Suave Advanced Therapy Lotion- This lotion worked great. It wasn't greasy and I didn't mind it was a squeeze bottle instead of a pump.

Rave Aerosol Hairspray- This hairspray worked okay but it is not my favorite.
