January 2017 empties

First empties of 2017!!
I have deemed this year as the year to use up a lot of my "stash" before buying new products. I have tons of samples and a lot of products nearing expiration that need to be used. Let's hope I have good luck with this.

January 2017 empties

Nyx Above & Beyond Concealer shade fair- my go to concealer! I have gone through many of these over the years. Great for spot concealing and under the eyes.

Elf Flawless Face Powder - My opinion for this powder went back and forth. Some days I liked it some days I hated it... all depended on the foundation I used and how my skin was that day. For the price I do recommend it especially to keep in your bag for touch ups on the go.

Kat Von D Lock It Foundation shade L44- One of the best full coverage foundations on the market. This L44 is just slightly too dark but I made it work and saved it for "important" days since it is pricey. I repurchased this in L42.

ELF Flawless Finish Foundation shade Porcelain. I'd say this is the second best foundation at the drugstore. The only downfall, for me personally, is that the lightest shade is still about 2 shades too dark for me. I mix it with Manic Panic's Dreamtone and it works great. Maybe someday they'll release some more shades.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow shade silver strike - This worked great as an eyeshadow base. I have long nails so I have to use a brush to get the product out instead of using my fingers....which I found out I'm not a big fan of. This shade is really pretty.

ELF Flawless Eyeshadow - This is basically what you expect a $2 eyeshadow palette to be...just ok. I used it for days where I wasn't doing much like just going to the grocery store. You can see I still haven't hit pan but I am just over this palette and would rather use nicer quality shadows daily. If you are just starting out with eyeshadow this would work well for you.

Benefit Stay Don't Stray Eyeshadow Primer - This sample lasted me forever! It worked really well and with it's tiny size was perfect for traveling.

Wet n Wild Mega Length Mascara - I use this mascara everyday on my lower lashes and it is fantastic at lengthening and separating. Highly recommend and super cheap

Covergirl Super Size Fibers Mascara - I received this product for testing purposes and you can read my review here

Aveeno Clear Complexion Moisturizer- I've been using this moisturizer for years! I have tried other but always keep coming back to this one.

EOS Lip Balm - Worked wonder on my lips and lasted forever. I already repurchased.

Almay Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover Pads- My absolute favorite way to remove eye makeup. My mom and I have both gone through tons of these containers over the years. I even have a couple little containers for traveling....they are the best!

Ulta Fig & Honey Body Lotion - I liked the smell of this but just an average lotion

Clean & Clear Persa-gel - I don't like the way it dries crusty but it helps clear up my acne. I've been using it for years and sometime's switch it up with Target's version

Nubian Heritage Abyssinian & Chia Body Lotion - At first I didn't like the smell but then it grew on me. I got about 3 uses out of this sample and it was very moisturizing. I probably would purchase a full size.

Dr Jart BB Dis-a-Pore Beauty Balm- I couldn't really tell much from this little foil sample but it seemed to be pretty good quality. Not sure if I'd purchase a full size.

Wet n Wild Makeup Remover Wipes - These were not any better than a cheap wet wipe. Took a lot of work to remove makeup. Luckily I got this package at the $1 store because I would not recommend

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes - These are soooo much better than Wet n Wild. I use these packets when traveling and they work perfect.
